ur apologies are a ghost in a dog house

I do not know what you want me to do,
all the sayings are passe and in the end
they are not true
On the end of a line, squeaky and half-hearted
through muffeled cries that attempt to subdue
you claim, as if it had never been so, that maybe you messed up
and now I am supposed to empathize, perhaps let a tear drop
no sir. i cannot. i can not even speak to you without holding the
phone away from my ear
endless drizzle like an annoying leak in a pipe
you are rusted and I am too tired to even fix you
i'd rather move out.
